Forsaken Cainhurst Castle
My Interpretation
The forsaken Cainhurst Castle is located outside of Yharnam. Once home to the family of nobles who founded the [Vilebloods], the frozen castle has stood vacant ever since the [Executioners] killed the family in order to eradicate all of the Vilebloods, their ghost now roaming the halls. The only Vileblood remaining is the undead [Annalise, Queen of Castle Cainhurst]. She dwells within her hidden hall, her contact with the outside world severed by [Martyr Logarius], leader of the Executioners. He stands as a sentinel to keep Annalise within her hall, and to prevent any outsiders from coming in contact with her.
The protagonist finds a Cainhurst Summons, mysteriously addressed to them, upon accessing the room in [Iosefka's clinic] where they were transfused and the story began. Whether the summons was an item the protagonist had on them prior to arriving at the clinic, or if the summons is merely a product of the nightmare is unclear. In addition, the coach that takes you to Cainhurst Castle from Hemwick Crossing is seen beside you as you make your way into Cainhurst, the horses now long dead skeletons and the bridge connecting Cainhurst to Yharnam beyond a ruin of broken stone.
